Dill Harness Cleaning Tips!

Leather, nylon and rubber harnesses can be hand washed with basic hand-soap and warm water. Hang to dry. Cleaning leather harnesses isn’t too complicated, as long as you follow a few easy steps:

(1) After each use wash with a mild soap and water. Do Not Soak;

(2)
Towel dry hard-ware to avoid rust (covering rivets with clear nail polish keeps water off ) and hang to dry;

(3)
Restore the leather’s natural oils. Do not use Dubin or Mink Oil, these are animal fats and can go rancid. Beware that wax based products will sit on the surface of the harness rather than be absorbed. This may result in the product ending up on you or your partner’s genitals. We recommend a Vancouver manufactured product called Dayton OK Oil. You can restore the lustre of a rubber harness with a silicone lubricant such as Eros.
