Paddle implements are similar to using your hand for spanking but without the sting on the palm. They are great beginner tools because they are easy to direct (learning to aim a paddle takes less practice than learning to land a flogger) and they won’t become obsolete if you move into flogging later, as they remain an excellent warm up toy.

Josephine’s design is based on old style carpet beaters. Two 5mm round leather laces twist to form the knot on the strike end. Seafarers refer to this knot as a Josephine so it’s got some history to it. The handle is a French grapevine braid. Adds a whole new meaning to ‘spring cleaning.’ All other paddle styles have two layers of heavy weight leather with a core to add stiffness. All leather paddles have a manufacturer warranty against defects.
