Associate Sales Manager


DYNAMIC, ENERGETIC, CREATIVE, CONFIDENT ASSOCIATE SALES MANAGER sought for Womyns'Ware Inc.'s retail store, seminar, customer support and outreach programs.

Experience: extensive and wide-ranging experience in retail sales essential. A minimum of four years of full-time sales experience with either an independently owned small business or a number of 'brand-name' retailers required. Previous Key Holder, cash deposit and open/close responsibility necessary. Experience with administrative duties an asset, particularly with respect to e-mail communications management and preparation of reports.

Skills: familiarity with basic inventory management, cash procedures, customer relations, and word-processing (we are an iMac environment) required. Ability to analyze data and prepare concise reports necessary. A proven record of providing superior customer care beneficial.

Education: a related post-secondary diploma or course work towards a degree in general arts, psychology, sociology, education or business administration desirable.

Aptitude: compassionate, intuitive, resilient and good-natured attributes sought. A positive approach to sexual issues necessary.

As an Associate Manager (Sales Floor) you will:
The Associate Manager workstation is at the till, at i-book central, and on the sales floor! She is self-directed while ensuring concise communication with the Retail Design Manager to maintain merchandising and ensure consistent stock and customer education across all sales staff and with the Warehouse Manager to integrate flow of stock from inventory, to floor, to out the door!

Her work schedule encompasses Monday to Thursday and additional days during peak season, weekend days may be required depending on holiday relief, special events, etc.

On average: 32 to 40 hours a week.

Training wage depends on previous experience with a 90-day probationary period. After a successful probationary period the wage will increase to $12.50/hour as wage differentials are earned, and the Alt. Work policy and Benefits policy will apply (includes MSP, partial Paramed, Dental, Optical as well as various stipends).

Associate Managers are subject to an annual salary and performance review.
